The New Agents

In our first posts on AI Agents we saw tremendous success: VIRTUAL going from $0.3 to $5.1, SEKOIA delivering an 85x; even the worst ones did a 2x at some point. Now, Wave 2 of AI Agent tokens is coming. I want to stay ahead of the curve, finding the working products with good business models and betting on them.

The 100x Club is back with its AI Agents series, bigger, better and stronger.

Idea Snapshots

  • Token: AI Agents, Wave 2.
  • General Thesis: AI Agents are the biggest innovation I’ve seen to date, no doubt that it will be a trillion dollar industry. Wave 1 was very rewarding but now I have higher expectations from the devs, a “good idea with a token” will no longer cut it for new winners. Betting on the best I find.
  • Risk Level: Extreme
  • Potential Upside: 1,000%+

AI Agents | Wave 2

  1. BRAIN ($5.5m—22 January 2025): Gigabrain has access to immense data sources and is a working product, the dev has been working on it for six months. One thing that caught my attention was its ability to catch on to the TRUMP memecoin and post about it in its terminal when it was only at 700m (went to 75b), and that it tweeted about MicroStrategy’s buys a week ago, before even AIXBT had seen it (for reference, AIXBT is the “top agent” in the industry with a valuation of $850m). The dev is relentless, their upgraded terminal will offer “Alpha” and from what they’ve shared it seems really good with trade suggestions. So product-wise, it ticks my boxes. Now onto the business model, the token design looks promising: users must burn tokens for day passes or hold 1m tokens to access advanced features, creating ongoing demand. The roadmap includes automated vaults, trading via terminal and potential commission revenue, reinforcing a strong business model. With steady feature rollouts and solid marketing incentives, I think BRAIN is a good candidate for a $100m+ valuation.
  2. LISTEN ($22.3m—30 January 2025): This one is on Solana, not Base. There’s new sub-sector that has emerged, called DeFAI. And most devs are building a simple “swap token A for token B for me” kind of agent, which is non-sense in my opinion. LISTEN’s dev is taking a more complex approach, the agent should be able to give you a full view of your portfolio and explain possible impacts from a certain event and you’d be able to perform more complex trades like: “Stable half of my PEPE position if ETH dips below 3k”. Yes, LISTEN trades at a high valuation relative to other agents, but for what this dev is building, I think it’s really low and I think $100m is borderline bearish for this one. LISTEN is built on Arc, another platform like Virtuals or AI16Z, but it’s a bit more developer focused (more customizable), and right now building on Arc needs approval from them which means he’s vetted already. The agent isn’t live yet, and the dev needs to work on his marketing but he’s relentlessly building and I like that. Another 5% allocation. Ambitious and risky because “what if he doesn’t deliver”, but right now he’s on the right path.
  3. ACOLYT ($18.7m—13 February 2025): Acolyt is building an oracle that other agents can use, they’re also building their own framework called The Signal where devs can create new agents and the revenue from it will be used to buyback and burn ACOLYT. But for me, I look at usability, so I don’t care much about the oracle as great as it sounds, I care about their Terminal that will be my companion as I browse through X to find all of the latest tokens and developments to then filter through—as of now this is a manual process for me and has been for 8 years, Acolyt’s Terminal may become my companion and if I would use it I’d guess that other would too. Just like LISTEN I am looking for agents that I would personally like to use, good products and good business models lead to great outcomes. As you’ve probably seen, Virtuals Protocol expanded to Solana, and to be fair Solana has more liquidity than Base which is a big addition for any existing agent that gets their token live on there too. ACOLYT was one of the few from Wave 1 to go to a $50m+ valuation and its price was unfairly beaten by this bear market. It will be moving to Solana in the coming days, for now I’m buying it on Base. I am putting a 3% allocation here.
  4. ASKJ (13 February 2025): As you could probably tell I’m increasingly becoming a fan of ARC and its ecosystem (its on Solana). Their focus on quality, as seen by LISTEN, is clear and needed for future growth of this sector. Ask Jimmy is an Agentic Hedge Fund composed of multiple agents (Treasury, Risk, Quants and Execution) which you can use to develop your own strategy in the market. This is yet another agent that could make my investing/trading more efficient, one I could customize to my own liking. ASKJ is launching in about an hour on Arc’s new launchpad “Forge”. Just like Virtuals, I can only buy it by holding ARC first so I have done so and am ready to put in 2% of my portfolio as soon as it launches. The token can also be bought with other assets via Jupiter and the contract address is already known (DgkKrQ1ErdRNjT2yTcAdEBa92JjFx75yxi4owArQarc) but I think it would be faster to do via Arc’s interface, so that’s what I am going for. I’ll add the valuation I manage to enter at above as usual once I buy. ASKJ launched at an unreasonably high price, I am not a buyer here. I will wait fo pice to go down to the $10-20m valuation range before buying. I did manage to buy it at $27m and sell it for 60% higher as I saw price trade at $50m+ (ridiculously high) but that is a rare and one-time event, the buy I will consider will be when price cools down and goes down another 50-70% from here.

I AM NOT A BUYER OF ASKJ AT THESE PRICES.

Note: Market conditions are uncertain, we may experience a lot more volatility ahead. I am slowly adding new agents, existing ones may fluctuate a lot until we have clarity in the broader crypto market. I am allocating small amounts into each to handle the volatility.

FAQs

Q: Should I buy or go all in?

A: No, I'm only sharing what I'm doing, you shouldn't buy because you read this but it should peak your curiosity and make you do your own research. From there if you buy or not is your call, not mine. I'm sharing my opinion, none of this is investment or financial advice, we're just a random Instagram page after all (just not your average one). Also, please don't go all in into anything, that almost always ends in a disaster, never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Q: How can I find the AI Agent token?

A: Each agent has a link hyperlinked on the ticker shared in the list, click on it and it'll take you to it.

Q: Do you expect AI Agents to continue to do well?

A: What I expect is purely my opinion, and I could be wrong—always consider that possibility.

Q: How will you allocate?

A: I’m allocating roughly 2-5% of my portfolio into each agent. If a token does a 3×, I’ll sell one-third to recoup my initial investment, then ride the rest. I can allocate more freely on Wave 2 because I already built profits from Wave 1, if I were just starting now I’d allocate 1-2%.

Q: What about AI Agents from Wave 1?

A: I’ll post a new list soon highlighting the most promising ones, but for now I can say SEKOIA and WAI are still on my radar. While I sold 80% for cash, I’m still holding a small fraction of both.

Q: How will I know when you add new AI Agents?

A: Instagram Stories. Turn on notifications so you don’t miss updates while we work on a direct notification system.

Q: What about the “AI Agents” mini-bear?

A: While I don’t think that’s fully over, I could be wrong. My job is to allocate to those that I find and consider undervalued today.
